When someone uses a search engine (Google, Yahoo  or Bing) to find information online, research indicates they are more likely to click on the free, organic (natural) links which appear on the left side of a search engine results page (SERP) vs. the pay-per -click advertisements which  may also  appear as sponsored advertisements at  the very top and  right side of the SERP.
